EXMAR staat voor innovatie! Bij HD Hyundai Mipo Co., Ltd. in Zuid-Korea is de kiel gelegd voor de eerste van zes gloednieuwe midsize LPG/ammoniak carriers van 46.000 m³.
De eerste twee schepen in deze serie van 6 zullen worden aangedreven door LPG dual fuel motoren, en de laatste vier zullen dual fuel ammoniak zijn. Dit zijn ’s werelds eerste schepen die op ammoniak varen, wat EXMAR’s wens onderstreept om het voortouw te nemen in het koolstofvrij maken van de scheepvaartindustrie.
