The EXMAR Group is currently looking for a Purchaser to reinforce the EXMAR Shipmanagement Procurement & Logistics team in Antwerp.

Your role in the team

The objective of this role is to ensure efficient and economical supply of spares, stores and services to the assets as member of the shore based fleet team, in order to support continued and efficient asset operations.

The Purchaser reports to the Head of Fleet Manager:

Your responsibilities and tasks include

• Collect and compare price inquiries for spares, stores and services from multiple vendors;
• Verify vendor offers and align them with asset and operational requirements;
• Negotiate commercial and legal terms with vendors to ensure best value;
• Present valid quotations for approval by the Technical Superintendent;
• Place and manage purchase orders for approved spares, stores and services;
• Coordinate delivery logistics, including transport routes, documentation and customs formalities;
• Ensure timely supply to assets and keep the team updated on delivery schedules;
• Evaluate vendor performance and share best practices to support continuous process improvement.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent through relevant work experience;
• At least 3 years of experience in technical procurement or logistics;
• Strong affinity or genuine interest in technical products and processes;
• Meticulous and detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in all tasks;
• Proactive, demonstrating initiative and anticipating needs;
• Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities efficiently;
• Excellent communicator, confident in interacting with a wide range of stakeholders (including seafarers, Technical Superintendents and suppliers);
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel;
• Fluent in both written and spoken Spanish and English.
