The EXMAR Group is currently looking for a Procurement & Logistics Officer to reinforce the EXMAR Shipmanagement Procurement & Logistics team in Antwerp.
Your role in the team
The Procurement & Logistic Officer ensures timely, efficient and economical procurement and delivery of materials, equipment and services for floating infrastructure projects (FLNG, FSRU, FSO, FSU…), supporting continued and efficient project development as a member of the project procurement team.
Your responsibilities and tasks include
- Instruct vendors on order requirements, delivery timelines and documentation, monitor and follow-up on purchase orders and ensure timely delivery while resolving supply chain bottlenecks;
- Coordinate logistics and deliveries to project sites, ensuring that delivery of orders is done in line with critical path of the project, while keeping stakeholders informed of status and potential delays;
- Organize and lead quality assurance activities, evaluating production against requirements, by visiting manufacturing sites directly or by coordinating inspections;
- Oversee receipt and archiving of compliance and quality documentation, ensuring adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements;
- Support in price negotiations and sourcing of materials, equipment and services;
- Evaluate supplier performance, participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to market research and alternative supplier proposals.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent through relevant work experience;
- At least 5 years of procurement experience in a highly technical environment;
- Strong affinity or genuine interest in technical products and processes;
- Excellent and assertive communicator, confident in interacting with a wide range of stakeholders (Technical Superintendents, Conversion Managers and suppliers);
- Hands-on and proactive attitude, initiating needs, taking initiative and tackling challenges with confidence;
- High level of independence; capability to work autonomously and manage a wide range of responsibilities without constant supervision;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel;
- Fluent in written and spoken English; Chinese and/or French are considered a plus;
- Willing to travel 5-10% of the time.
