The EXMAR Group is currently looking for a Junior Technical Superintendent Yachting to reinforce the EXMAR Shipmanagement team in Antwerp, HQ.

Your role in the team

The Technical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the operational, technical, and financial management and will act as key contact person internally and externally for all yacht related communication.

You report to the Business Unit Director Shipping and collaborate closely with the Yachting
Coordinator.

Your responsibilities and tasks include

• First line of response for technical matters;
• Follow-up on all aspects of statutory compliance and classification of the vessel;
• Define and review yearly OPEX proposals and Drydock proposals and monitor Yacht Operating budget;
• Report to and keep Head of Fleet Management up to date regarding the ongoing business;
• Review annually the ship’s ISM in collaboration with HSEQ ad vessel staff.
• Coordinate with the Yacht Crewing Coordinator to ensure efficient and consistent crewing planning.

Your profile

• Recent graduate with a degree in Maritime Academy, Electromechanical Engineering, or a similar technical field;
• Relevant practical experience and exposure to commercial vessels or yachts is an advantage;
• Good understanding of ship management, administration and technical systems;
• Eager to learn about yacht technical management (new build and maintenance), industry regulations, navigation, insurance and budget management;
• Strong project management skills, while being proactive and showing ownership of work;
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders;
• Fluent in written and spoken English; Dutch is a plus.
