Step-change innovation across gas shipping

For more than four decades, EXMAR has combined deep gas shipping expertise with first-mover technology, continuously advancing how LPG and ammonia (“NH3”) are transported and used as fuel.

  • Pioneered LPG as a marine fuel with the world’s first LPG dual-fuel VLGC order, turning cargo into fuel and establishing a proven operational platform
  • Building on decades of ammonia transportation and LPG dual-fuel experience, EXMAR introduced the world’s first oceangoing ammonia-fueled vessel
  • Continuous step-up in vessel size and capability, from smaller gas carriers to today’s 49,000 m³ MGC platform and larger assets
  • EXMAR transports approximately 15–20% of global seaborne ammonia, combining significant market exposure with operational experience
