After nearly six years of leadership and 40 years of dedication, Jens Ismar is handing over the helm to Morten Pilnov. Morten was welcomed on board as Executive Director Shipping at EXMAR.
In addition to EXMAR’s strong-positioned, existing fleet, we have 16 state-of-the-art midsize gas carriers on the way—including the world’s first ammonia-fueled deep-sea vessels. As we enter this exciting new phase, we’d like to thank Jens for his years of commitment and look forward to the journey ahead with Morten.
When asked about Morten’s motivation for joining the company, he emphasized the strong reputation of EXMAR in the gas shipping industry. “EXMAR continuously pushes boundaries and is a pioneer in new solutions,” he simply said, having multiple years experience at Maersk and Nova Tankers amongst others.
“With an impressive fleet and a commitment to innovation, EXMAR continues to play a leading role in shaping the future of sustainable gas shipping,” Morten shared.
Taking place at his new desk, overlooking the Scheldt, Morten continued: “I look forward to working with our owners, partners and my new colleagues at EXMAR, to further build on this strong foundation and drive continued success in an ever-evolving market.”
