Francis Mottrie has over 30 years of experience in the maritime industry. He began his career in 1987 as a lawyer at the Antwerp Bar and subsequently held various leadership roles in legal, human resources, commercial, and general management at CMB, Safmarine, and the AP Moller Maersk Group between 1990 and 2012. From 2012 to 2020, he served as CEO of Bexco NV.

He joined EXMAR in January 2020 as Deputy CEO, became CEO from April 2020 to December 2023, and has been serving as Chief Operating Officer since January 2024. To this day, he remains a member of EXMAR’s Executive Committee as representative of FMO BV.
