The EXMAR Group is currently looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to reinforce the Finance team in Antwerp.

Your role in the team
You will be reporting to the Head of Consolidation & Accounting and will manage 4 direct reports based in Hong Kong, France, Netherlands and Belgium. You will review and manage the accounting, closing and reporting process for several subsidiaries of the EXMAR Group in compliance with the applicable accounting standards (IFRS & BE GAAP) and other statutory/group requirements.
Your responsibilities and tasks include:
• Follow up execution of closing activities;
• Manage monthly/quarterly submission of reporting to Group;
• Manage yearly filing process of statutory accounts and communicate with audit & legal department;
• Follow up, guide and assist the GL accountants worldwide;
• Define actions for further automation and/or efficiency improvement.
Your profile
• Minimum Bachelor degree in Accountancy;
• 5 year(s) of experience in an Accounting Manager position (A-Z);
• You have good people management skills;
• You are able to meet internal/external reporting deadlines;
• You are able to analyse problems (e.g. in accounting software) and have a problem-solving attitude;
• Extensive knowledge of MS office applications (Excel);
• Good knowledge of Belgian General Accepted Accounting Principles;
• Basic knowledge of VAT and corporate income tax;
• Basic knowledge of IFRS;
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Dutch.
