EXMAR expands its offshore activities, delivering an FPSO and a Floating Accommodation Barge to TOTAL in Africa.

2003

Delivery of FPSO “Farwah” Total Libya

EXMAR took a big step forward in its offshore activities when two of its own units became operational – the FPSO FARWAH (50% ownership at the time) and the recently refurbished offshore accommodation barge KISSAMA. FPSO FARWAH was delivered by Izar Fene on April 4th with the unit being accepted in May by the charterer Compagnie des Pétroles Total Libye. Oil production commenced in September that year with the first unloading operation taking place on November 23.

The reconstruction of the floating accommodation unit KISSAMA was completed in Cadiz on June 21st after which the unit was then towed to the Cobo site in Angola and delivered to the charterer TOTAL.
