The EXMAR Group is currently looking for a Process Safety Expert to reinforce Exmar Shipmanagement Infrastructure team in Antwerp, HQ.
Your role in the team
As a Process Safety Expert, you will organise, participate, evaluate & translate the complete set of HSEQ design studies and Risk Assessments into the design of newbuild/modified LNG assets, by closely working together with all type of discipline experts, onshore & offshore. To assure all HSE requirements resulting from initial HSEQ/Process Safety design and the company’s Safety Management System are well implemented in day-to-day safe operations & maintenance of LNG assets and to advise LNG crew and shore-based management on proper measures in order to ensure safe future operations/ business continuity of LNG assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Being able to translate outcome of design studies and risk assessments of third party consultant reports into recommendations for project discipline experts;
- Being the bridge between HSEQ design and HSE during Operations;
- Review of work permits, isolation schemes, risk assessments, job hazard analyses and advise on good practice for Operations & Maintenance;
- Give mandatory technical instructions concerning the organization and content of the work process of non-subordinate people;
- Organize internal and external audits and ensure proper close out of recommendations;
- Organize Emergency Response Exercises and improve the ER Preparedness;
- Monitor and develop procedures and guidelines for the Safety Management System;
- Support in incident investigations and ensure proper lessons learned are implemented.
Requirements:
- Master in engineering (electromechanical or chemical);
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Process Safety;
- Profound knowledge of HSE studies & risk assessment methodologies;
- You are able to deal with several complex technical topics in parallel within a multidisciplinary team;
- You are able to combine design strategies, study results & existing assets when developing new procedures & methodologies or define potential improvements;
- Combination of theoretical knowledge and field experience is preferred;
- Good knowledge of oil & gas industry standards;
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
