Crew Wages & Administration Officer (Antwerp, Belgium)

The EXMAR Group is currently looking for a Crew Wages & Admin Officer to reinforce the EXMAR Shipmanagement Crew Wages team in Antwerp, HQ.

Your role in the team

As a Crew Wages & Admin Officer, you will manage and coordinate all administrative tasks related to crew compensation and benefits to ensure that all seafarers receive accurate and timely payments and are able to fully access and utilize the benefits provided under their contract and company policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage crew compensation & benefits: calculate salaries, track leave, prepare payments, ensure timely information exchange in compliance with legal requirements;
  • Oversee crew insurance: coordinate insurance coverage and support implementation of most effective competitive insurance systems;
  • Provide operational support: advise on Crewing operational personnel matters, prepare & submit all required documentation for payroll processing, ensure timely resolution of queries, …;
  • Coordinate & control processes: monitor payroll & crewing system database, monitor
    accuracy of crew data, review & verify incoming invoices, ….

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree and/or you have minimum 1 year of experience in (crew) payroll administration;
  • You are able to critically review information and correct potential errors;
  • You are able to monitor and control the error list in payroll and crewing system software;
  • You are able to timely and effectively solve day to day problems with salary issues of
    seafarers;
  • You to be able to work with international crew;
  • Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office;
  • Knowledge of Swing payroll is a plus;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Dutch (French is a plus)
