{"id":11435,"date":"2026-09-04T09:33:00","date_gmt":"2026-09-04T07:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/exmar.com\/?post_type=vacancies&#038;p=11435"},"modified":"2026-09-04T09:33:00","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T07:33:00","slug":"accounting-manager-antwerp-belgium","status":"publish","type":"vacancies","link":"https:\/\/exmar.com\/en\/vacancies\/accounting-manager-antwerp-belgium\/","title":{"rendered":"Accounting Manager (Antwerp, Belgium)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The EXMAR Group is currently looking for an <strong>Accounting Manager<\/strong> to reinforce the Finance team at our Antwerp HQ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Your role in the team<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Accounting Manager reviews and manages the accounting, closing and reporting process for several subsidiaries of the EXMAR Group in compliance with the applicable accounting standards (<strong>IFRS &amp; BE GAAP<\/strong>) and other statutory\/group requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Accounting Manager reports to the Head of Consolidation &amp; Accounting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Your responsibilities and tasks include<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Follow up execution of closing activities and review monthly\/quarterly trial balances;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage quarterly group reporting submission;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review yearly statutory accounts and communicate with audit &amp; legal department;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow up, guide and assist the GL accountants;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Define actions for further automation and\/or efficiency improvement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Your profile<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accountancy;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5 years\u2019 experience in General Ledger Accounting role (A-Z);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated people management skills;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven ability to meet strict internal\/external reporting deadlines;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and resolve issues within accounting systems;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advanced proficiency in MS office applications, in particular Excel;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solid knowledge of Belgian General Accepted Accounting Principles;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic knowledge of VAT and corporate income tax;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good understanding of IFRS;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fluent in written and spoken English and Dutch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Our offer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At &nbsp;EXMAR you operate a very international, dynamic and, innovative environment.
