This cutting-edge LNG import terminal enhances Europe\u2019s energy security by providing flexible, reliable, and sustainable access to natural gas, supporting the transition to a cleaner energy future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FSRU extension project<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deployed in just six months in 2022 to strengthen North-West European energy security and cut reliance on Russian gas &#8211; a 50:50 Gasunie \/ Vopak joint venture (EemsEnergyTerminal)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>EXMAR has operated one of the terminal&#8217;s two FSRUs since start-up (Eemshaven, built 2017, 26,320 m\u00b3)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operations extended from 2027 to 2036 &#8211; 8.5 years plus 2 optional years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>EemsEnergyTerminalmade conditional final investment decision earlier this year after selling the offered capacity of the terminal. The final investment decision by the shareholders will follow once the necessary permits have been obtained<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>EXMAR has also been awarded additional work to convert a large LNG carrier into a modern FSRU, replacing the existing 170,000 m\u00b3 unit on location \u2013 where the donor vessel for the conversion project has been secured<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Details<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Regasification capacity: 1,350 MMSCFD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Storage capacity: ~190,000 m\u00b3<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1st EU LNG terminal post 2022 gas crisis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8.5 + 2 yrs extension to 2036 for 2 FSRU<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Signed conditional commercial FID<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8.6 bcm\/y c.25% of Dutch gas demand<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Learn how EXMAR is driving energy innovation with the EemsEnergyTerminal project.
