Are you passionate about payroll? We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage our French payroll operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all payroll transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee payroll operations, coordinate salary calculations, ensuring timely salary payments, and accurate payroll processing.
- Coordinate with French authorities and unions.
- Declare income and social tax towards authorities and supervise tax declarations.
- Work closely with the crewing and accounting team.
- Monitor legal compensation incomes.
- Ensure compliance with social security and ENIM.
- Handle discrepancies, resolve payroll issues, and ensure proper reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local payroll laws and regulations.
- Develop seafarer renumeration policies and manage crewing budget.
- Support and advise manning agents and the ship manager.
- Continuously optimize payroll processes to enhance efficiency.
- Follow-up and monitor crew claims.
- Act as the GDPR key risk officer.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll management, specifically within French payroll and social regulations.
- Extensive knowledge of French labor laws, taxation, and social security contributions.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, ability to meet deadlines, and excellent interpersonal skills for employee support.
- Knowledge of Santiano software is a plus.
- Fluent written and spoken English and French language skills
- Maritime industry experience is a plus.
