LLOG Exploration signs agreement for EXMAR to assist in the design of a second, larger Floating Production System for the Gulf of Mexico

On 25th June, LLOG Exploration announced the agreement for EXMAR to assist in the design of a new production semisubmersible hull for installation in the Gulf of Mexico in 2014. The design was to be based on EXMAR’s proprietary OPTI® series of hulls, with EXMAR providing the OPTI® design package, engineering services, project management and construction supervision for the hull. The new hull design would end up being forty percent larger than the original OPTI-EX™ hull in order to accommodate the anticipated processing requirements of LLOG Exploration and its partners. The project and the FPS became known as DELTA HOUSE.
